Political terminology

 

Today in class we talked about political terminology, we learned vocabulary and put it into practice

Question:

I believe that each country should have the government model that is most suitable for its needs, since not all countries have the same resources or needs, but all should be democratic models

The past unreal conditional

Today in class we learned about the past unreal conditional (the third conditional) and how to use it correctly, as well as all its grammar rules

In class we also did some exercises to put this topic into practice, the activity consisted making sentences, which were:

• If I'd married someone famous, I would have married with Charles Leclerc.
• If I'd been born an animal, I would have been a lion.
• If I'd hadn't come to english class, I would have been asleep.
• If my family had move abroad when i was a kid, I would have learned another lenguaje.

Inventions and Discoveries

Today in class we talked about inventions and discoveries, we learned the difference between them and we put it into practice with some exercises

Types of Holidays

 Today we talk about types of holidays (Historical, Religious and Seasonal) and we read three texts that talked about these types of holidays.

The first one was a text about the Ramadan, a religious holiday.

The second one was a text about the Chinese New Year, a seasonal holiday.

And the last one was a text about the Bolivar's Birthday, a historical holiday.

    

Local customs

 In class today we talk about local customs and we create a conversation with a partner asking about local customs

Traditions and Celebrations

• "Why are traditions and celebrations important?"

  I think traditions and celebrations are important because they help to keep the identify of towns and countries.

In class we talk about traditions in my country and i completed a chart about the tradition i chose

 "Talk about a regret you have about a past situation. Say how your life might be have been different"

I regret having changed schools when I was younger, my life would not be very different but I would have kept some friends that I had in that school. 

"What is your ideal job? What are some qualifications you have that may help get to it?"

My ideal job is where I can be a surgeon, have time for myself to travel and of course earn a lot of money at the same time.
